Angels On Your Pillow

As your eyes slowly close in sleep
I come and sit upon your pillow,
Softly brushing the hair from your face,
Placing a soft kiss on your cheek.
A slight smile crosses your lips;
Even in your sleep you know I am there,
Watching over you and keeping you safe.
As you enter into my world of dreams
I take you to that beautiful peaceful place;
We talk of the past, present and future,
Sharing all with each other.
You know you can tell me anything,
Your secrets are always safe with me.
The dreams you whisper may be far fetched
But I know you have the power to make them come true.
I believe in you sweetie.
When the world turns its back on you
And you feel you have no where to turn,
I'm always here sitting on your pillow,
Arms open to give you that big hug.
Tears flow freely down your cheeks
As you tell me how someone hurt you deeply today;
I wipe the tears away with my long black hair
And hold you till the tears stop flowing;
Together we wonder how people can be so cruel.
Perhaps they don't believe in angels
So they don't have an angel on their pillow.
But you know they are real...
I am your very own special angel,
And am always on your side.
I love you now and forever,
Angels On Your Pillow!
