YOU’VE HEARD IT SAID
So many times,
“It’s only love.”
Isn’t it strange?
The smallest words,
Have so much power.
At times they create in us fear,
And even confusion,
Or make us feel the greatest joy,
Or,
So lonely.
When we think with our hearts,
We tend to go astray,
Veer from the forward path.
We even question fate.
We need love.
At times we need love more,
Than our own reality has to offer.
I know love is the greatest gift.
The greatest gift,
With the greatest price.
Love can cause the greatest pain.
The search for love can consume our very being.
There is always a hunger to find it out there.
We are starving.
We risk everything in our lives,
Just to experience the danger.
Take one more chance that it might be real,
This time.
We know our hearts are strong,
Because they get broken every day.
My heart must be the strongest of all.
I think there is love in my life.
I feel it.
Or do I need it so much,
That I need to feel it?
We hear the word love often.
Is there proof it even exists?
Sometimes it is said too much.
I question the meaning.
Just the word.
“Love.”
Saying it to myself,
Creates a stirring within my soul.
That stirring,
I want it.
I need it.
I pray never to lose it.
