Disconcert And Discontent Heart

My conscience, I cannot leave to drift,
A thousand years I cannot be relieved,
My heart wounds at the pathetic sight,
The feelings I cannot hide,
To hear the merciless endless cry,
And leave the scene without pry ?
To see the brutal blood bath - slaughter,
That shadows the innocents,
And hear the guns that deafen my ears,
That threaten the people all years,
And the iron handed rule that plunges us,
And listen to slendours and lies,
I cannot leave the crisis,
That my heart had sunk to the abyss.

Dedicated to the memory all the innocent people who perished during
the May 13th incident, a black mark in our national history where racism
breed its hatred and destruction. This is a lesson to learn from history.
This poem is part of a collection of my early poetry composition called "Revelation of Emotions," written during my student days. At that point of time I was 17 years of age. It reflects the feelings, thoughts, political consciousness and romanticism of that era of my> life.
