I LOVE YOU IN ALL ETERNITY

I feel the pain in my heart,
I fear the inevitable
that will take you away,
For deep in me I love you in all eternity,
I would give my life for yours,
I can't bear the thought of loosing you,
How can I, ever take you for granted,
I will always cherish the fond memories,
Of your caring and nurturing
that have brought me to this world
And made me what I am.

I can't bear the pain of your suffering,
I pray for divine intervention,
That the healing light of love,
Will glow and you will be healed,
I want to give you all the care and love.

I regret the lost time that I could have spent with you,
Time spent meaninglessly in life's tough endeavour,
How I wish to go back in time to the days of old,
Where as a child you would spend your time
with me in bedtime stories,
I remember -
The telescope and astronomy,
Art and books and encyclopaedia, photography,
The music that you add to my life -
The harmonica and the guitar
The island trips, the trips to Kota Bharu,
Christmas and New Year celebrations,
All these have left deep impressions in me,
And made me the artist in life.
That memory, I wish I could be there forever.
I treasure that moment back in time.

I love you in all eternity.

This poem was written on the 24th of June, 1999.
At dawn on the 25th of July 1999 my beloved father asked for the "Last Rite"
and the Last Rite wes performed by Rev Fr. Christopher Wee before he returned to
the Lord peacefully in the presence of all family members.

This poem is dedicated to my father, John Yeo Yan Kai, whom I dearly missed,
whose passing I have grieved and whose memory I shall forever cherished.
